St. Padre Pio

Hi! This is John Nemmer again. I would like to talk with you about St. Padre Pio, my second favorite saint. He was born in 1887, died in 1968, and was canonized by Saint Pope John Paul II. St. Padre Pio was born Francesco Forgione on May 25th, in Pietretcina Italy, to peasant farmers. He had 6 siblings but 2 of them died in infancy. As a child, he was very religious and by the age of 5, it is said that he decided to dedicate his life to God. St. Padre Pio was a really holy priest who was known for his piety and charity, as well as the stigmata, which has never been explained. He also could see and speak with Jesus, Mary, and his own guardian angel. St. Pio also saw the Devil, and was both physically and spirituality attacked by Satan.

He had the gifts of reading people’s souls, and could be in 2 places at once. Additionally, there were many other spiritual gifts from God to help The Church grow in her burning love for Christ. To this day, the Saint’s body is totally incorrupt. He is buried in a glass coffin at his church. I believe St. Padre Pio truly was, and is still today, a cry from God to the world, “Believe in Me!”

May the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ, the help of the Holy Spirit, and, the glory of God the Father, be with you all! Amen! St. Padre Pio, pray for us!!! John Nemmer
